The Planet Cup was introduced in 2003 as a season-long series recognizing excellence in J 456
racers and will continue again this year. Standings will be kept for SL, GS, and the Combined (K) by
place points. The individual competitor’s best 9 of 14 SL races, and best 10 of 15 GS races in the
respective disciplines will determine the season-long standings. The Combined will be
determined by the individual’s best 19 finishes, regardless of discipline. All Planet Cup
competitors must be members of USSA and Region 1 to receive Planet Cup Points. Planet Cup
races will be Dec.15-16 at Wild, Jan. 5-6 at Spirit, Jan.12-13 at Lutsen, Jan. 19-20 at Wild, Jan. 26-
27 at LaCrosse, Feb 9-10 at Welch, and Feb 16 at Afton. The Kombi races at Buck Hill Dec. 8-9 will
not be scored for the Planet Cup.
